Monique attended Trenton High School, where she graduated in 2001, her social media page says.
She began studying criminal justice at Livingstone College in 2004 and graduated in 2009.
Monique was a hard worker at Princeton Public Schools ISD 477 and Princeton High School, where she was an administrative secretary of guidance, her page says.
She was incredibly selfless, kind and caring and will be missed by many.
Tributes immediately poured in on social media following her passing by the countless friends and family members whose lives she impacted:
“Monique Corbin, there aren’t enough words that I could put together to show just how much I love you,” writes Naima Towns. “You were more than my cousin at one point, you were another big sister to me.”
“I love you forever & I want you to watch over me & our family, as I know you will.
I will continue to LIVE life for you.”
Monique’s funeral services were held privately.
“Sleep in peace, and fly free,” writes Towns.
“My songbird, beautiful butterfly.”
